What Otobiz is for.

Software for a small team that answers customers all day and has nobody spare to do it.

Otobiz is customer messaging software for small businesses. It brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, and website chat into one shared inbox, drafts every reply from the business's own information, and holds anything consequential for a person to approve. It is built for teams where the person who should answer is also the person doing the work.

The problem it was built for

A small business gets more messages than it can answer and fewer than justifies hiring for it. The messages arrive on several apps, the answers live in three heads, and the person best placed to reply is with a customer.

  • Messages on several channels with no shared queue
  • The same handful of questions, answered by hand, all day
  • Answers that only exist in one person's head

Answers from your information, not from the internet

The AI drafts from what you connect: files you upload, pages it crawls from your site, question and answer pairs you write, and the customer's own history. Every draft names the sources it used. When it cannot find the answer in your material, the draft says so and the conversation goes to a person.

  • Files, crawled pages, written answers, and contact history as sources
  • Sources shown on every draft before anyone sends it
  • No grounding means a handoff, not an invented answer

A person stays in the loop on anything that matters

Campaigns, scheduled sends, and anything that writes to another system queue for approval. You approve the exact message that goes out, and if a word changes afterwards it comes back to you. Automatic replies exist, cover routine questions, and stay off until you switch them on.

  • Approve, edit, or reject before anything leaves
  • You approve the exact message, not a summary of it
  • Automatic replies limited to routine cases you enable

Your channel accounts stay yours

WhatsApp connects against your own Meta business, so the account, the number, the templates, and the opt-ins are in your name. If you leave, you take them with you. Instagram, Messenger, and Telegram connect to accounts you already control.

  • WhatsApp Business Account owned by your business
  • Instagram, Messenger, and Telegram connected to accounts you control
  • Disconnecting deletes the stored login and leaves the account with you

The platform rules that apply to everyone

WhatsApp closes a conversation 24 hours after the customer's last message, and anything sent after that has to be a template Meta approved. Marketing messages need an opt-in you can show. Meta charges for template sends. These rules come from Meta and apply to every product in this category.

  • A 24-hour reply window, then an approved template
  • Marketing messages need consent on record
  • Meta's own per-message charge, billed separately from Otobiz

Who it is for

Businesses where a handful of people carry the customer relationship: retail and D2C brands, clinics and salons, agencies running messaging for clients, and teams whose bottleneck is answering rather than routing. If you have a contact centre and a routing problem, there are better tools than this one.

  • Small teams with more messages than time
  • Businesses where messaging is how customers reach you
  • Teams that want the AI to draft and a person to decide

What it does not do.

It is not built for a contact centre

There is no workforce management, no shift forecasting, and no call queue. If routing hundreds of agents is the problem you are solving, this is the wrong tool and a larger platform will serve you better.

There is no security certification

Otobiz holds no SOC 2 report and no ISO certification, and displays no badge for either. The security page names what actually protects your data.

Questions about the product.

What does Otobiz do?

It brings customer messages from WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, and website chat into one shared inbox, drafts replies from your own information, and holds anything consequential for a person to approve.

Who is it for?

Small teams where the same few people carry the customer relationship and the bottleneck is answering rather than routing: retail and D2C brands, clinics and salons, agencies, and founder-led teams.

Who is it not for?

Large contact centres with a routing and workforce management problem. That is a different product category.

Does the AI reply on its own?

Only for routine replies, and only when you switch that on. Campaigns, scheduled sends, and anything that writes to another system always wait for a person.

What happens if the AI does not know the answer?

The draft says so and the conversation goes to a person. Drafts name the sources they used, so a reviewer can see when there were none.

Do we own our WhatsApp account?

Yes. It connects against your own Meta business, so the account, number, templates, and opt-ins are in your name and leave with you.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the channels you run and the volume you send, so it starts with a conversation. Meta's own per-message charge for WhatsApp templates is billed by Meta, separately from Otobiz.
