Catalog

A catalog is a structured list of a business's products, with names, prices, images, and descriptions, that a messaging platform can show inside a chat.

On WhatsApp a catalog linked through Meta's Commerce Manager allows single product and multi-product messages in the conversation. The recurring problem is staleness: a catalog that no longer matches the store produces confident wrong answers about price and availability. Whoever owns the store should own the catalog.
