Workspace isolation
Workspace isolation means one business using a shared product cannot see another business's messages, contacts, or files.
The useful question is not whether a vendor has it, but what it rests on. Isolation that depends on the software remembering to ask only for your records fails the day someone forgets. Isolation enforced underneath the software holds even when the software above it has a bug. Ask where it is enforced, not whether it exists.

Worth knowing alongside it.
- Encryption at rest
- Encryption at rest means the data a service has stored is unreadable without a key, so a copy of the storage on its own gives up nothing.
- Audit log
- An audit log is a durable record of every consequential action in a system, including who did it, when, and what exactly was affected.
