How do customers scan it?
With their phone's camera app, which opens the chat in WhatsApp. WhatsApp's own in-app camera reads only official WhatsApp codes.
Does scanning send a message?
No. It opens a chat with your message ready, and the customer chooses whether to send it.
Doesn't WhatsApp Business already give me a QR code?
The Business app makes one code for its number, with one default message. This tool makes a code for any number, including API numbers, with a different message for each poster or product.
PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for screens, social posts and documents. Use SVG for print, because it stays sharp at any size.
Does a scan count as consent to marketing?
No. Starting a chat does not by itself give permission for later marketing messages.
