Can the link open with a message already typed?
No. Instagram's ig.me links have no message option, so the chat opens empty for your customer to write.
Does it work on a computer?
Instagram doesn't support these links on its website. On a computer or in print, show the QR code so people open the chat on their phone.
Will the customer know they came from a link?
Yes. Instagram shows a short note that you'll see they used your link once they send a message.
What if I change my username?
The link carries your username, so it stops opening your chat after a rename. Make a new link and QR code and replace the old ones.
How is this different from Instagram's own QR code?
